Garden bound

Time to roll in the dirt and do the "Worm"!

Time to rake up last fall's remaining leaves and chop up the rest of the Christmas tree--the part we didn't use for the Child's science project on squirrels! squirrelmodel.jpg(Here it is--note the actual squirrel-guy peeking out of the nest. Project was titled, "Squirrel: Friend or Foe?" Child did not take my suggestion to include recipes on her poster.)

Time to grovel in front of the hyacinths!hyacinths2.jpg

Time to wish I had done those sit-ups all winter and had someone else's knees!

Too bad Child didn't take your advice. It would have provided a great opportunity to use the wonderful illustrations of how to skin a squirrel (stand on tail, pull on other end) that I fondly remember from my mother's 1950s-era Joy of Eating.
